雅思口語新話題：Person who has interesting ideas

說到雅思換題季可能同學(xué)們會覺得有些緊張，擔(dān)心這跟自己之前練習(xí)的不太一樣，有太多變數(shù)。但是同學(xué)們大可不必?fù)?dān)心，因為題目換來換去，還是那幾種最基礎(chǔ)的母題。所以同學(xué)們的核心還是放在自己能力的提升上比較關(guān)鍵。能力提升了，遇到怎樣的話題都是可以去說的。

今天我們來看一個本季度part2人物類的雅思新話題：Person who has interesting ideas

Describe a person who has interesting ideas or opinions.

You should say:

Who this person is

What this person does

How you know him

And explain why you think his/her ideas or opinions are interesting

這個話題是不是很眼熟，我們上季度有一道類似的題目是：

Describe an old person who is interesting

You should say:

Who this person is

How you know this person

What you do with this person

And explain why you think this person is interesting

其實這兩個話題完全可以合并成一個話題，但是也要稍作改動，畢竟“有趣的人”和“想法有趣的人”還是有一點不同的。

那我們的思路是什么呢?

首先人物類慣常的背景介紹、外貌啊、性格啊都可以稍作改動直接加在你的話述前面; 但是由于本次我們是和老年人合并的，所以相關(guān)的表達(dá)可以是：

Being 78 this year, his face is covered with wrinkles, but he still looks hale and hearty.

接下來就是切合本題的一些回答思路了，為什么想法有趣呢?那想一想差不多有這幾個原因:

1. Play jokes/pranks; acts like young people, which is quite interesting

2. Turn waste into arts：在這里可以給出一個具體的事例顯得更真實更有說服力，比如在汶川地震時，家里有一個小的裂縫(cover/disguise the crack)，your grandpa就決定畫一幅壁畫來巧妙地遮住這個縫隙，這樣的想法是非常有趣非常獨特的。

好，那么接下來給大家展示一個sample，一些有用的表達(dá)大家可以借鑒，在自己準(zhǔn)備的時候一定要出聲錄音訓(xùn)練，盡量回答地自然一點兒，不要讓考官覺得你在背模板：

A person that has interesting ideas I’d like to talk about is my grandpa, with whom I spent nearly all my childhood. Being 78 this year, he still looks hale and hearty.

He told me he wishes to be an artist as a painter when he was young. Unfortunately, such dreams were not encouraged in those tough times as the whole nation focused on economic development. Having no choice, he had to abandon his dream and became a worker in a state-owned company.

As for why I think his ideas are quite interesting. First of all, unlike the majority of Chinese old people, he’s quite open-minded and has unique taste on fashion. I always find it hilarious to look at him dressing in fancy shirts or ripped jeans. He even posts his outfit of the day on social media, which is absolutely unusual and funny.

In addition, he can always come up with some interesting ideas of turning waste into arts. He has created numerous handicrafts by combining cans and bottles. In my grandpa’s apartment, there’s a whole wall painted with pigments, just like murals in Sistine chapel. At first, I thought it was just a painting. It turned out my grandpa was trying to cover the small crack occurred after 2008 Wenchuan earthquake. So he had designed the whole image tactfully to both decorate the apartment and disguise the crevice, drawing it as a branch of a willow.

It’s been several months since I visited my grandpa last time. I really miss him.
