Some people believe that it is better to live and work in vertical cities.Others, however, think that horizontal cities are better for living and working.

Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

針對這個話題，首先我們要來看各自概念：

關于Vertical city，其含義為Itis an entire human habitat contained in a massive skyscraper.顧名思義，垂直城市，其實就是我們所謂的高樓大廈。

再者，鑒于Horizontal city, 其含義為the development in this type of city is horizontal. It focuses on accommodating a small population on a large piece of land. It is characterised by low rise mostly single-storey buildings, large open spaces, lower physical density and high ground coverage.

也就是說，水平城市意味著有足夠多的土地容納少量的人。代表性的建筑風格為：低層建筑，低密度，及更多開闊的空地。

Vertical city

Vertical cities play an indispensable role in addressing overpopulation and overcrowding. Instead of destroying forests and swamps to construct houses, shopping centres, and factories, they can be placed in a vertical tower, serving to preserve the environment.

傳統(tǒng)的四合院就是一個很好的例子。居住在這個環(huán)境中的人們可以有強烈的歸屬感，因為社區(qū)空間的開放設計使人們能夠更容易地與他們的鄰居交流，而這一點在混凝土的建筑物里是很難實現(xiàn)的feel。
